As a New York ethics and professional responsibility litigation attorney, Richard E. Grayson serves lawyers and judges throughout New York State. He represents attorneys before New York state grievance committees in the First Department (Manhattan and Bronx counties) and the Second Department (Suffolk, Nassau, Brooklyn [Kings], Queens, Richmond [Staten Island],Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam and Dutchess counties).  He also handles appeals of departmental grievance committee findings.

In his capacity as “counselor at law,” Mr. Grayson provides counseling to attorneys about ethical dilemmas, problems with partners or associates, the challenges of running a law firm, or personal problems related to the stress of practicing law.

Mr. Grayson also acts as counsel for legal consultants who are practicing attorneys in other jurisdictions but who are not admitted to the New York bar.

He is one of a few attorneys in New York certified by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board to teach ethics courses for attorneys. As an individual course provider certified by the New York State CLE Board, he has presented or has been a panelist at more than 90 CLE ethics programs for attorneys and judges.
